The Esso Awards for Kindersley Minor Hockey are coming up next week in the community. In the leadup, Minor Sports had their coaches/managers supper on Tuesday to celebrate the season a little early, and the U13 Klippers were one team that completed their windup, taking in the Saskatchewan Rush game on April 4.
The U13 Klippers packed the bus Friday afternoon for the Rush game windup, getting to their fantastic SaskTel Centre seats for warmups as most of the team was able to take home a Rush warmup ball.

The game was low scoring for lacrosse standards finishing 10-6 for the visiting Calgary Roughnecks. But the team still had fun soaking in every Rush goal and jeering the Roughnecks at any opportunity in a tight game late in the fourth.
Multiple ice cream breaks were taken around the concourse, as despite the loss, it was hopefully a memorable experience for the team wrapping up another year of hockey.

The kids can't have all the fun, as the adults met back on Tuesday for a season wrap-up of their own.
During the supper the Kindersley Minor Hockey Mac Cannon Coach of the Year award was handed out. Marlyn Hearn was the winner this year, presented the award by Ron Cannon as you can see below.

"We would like to give a huge congratulations to Marlyn and thank you for all you do for the kids, it does not go unnoticed." shared the post online, before more thank-you wishes. "A big thank you to all our coaches, managers, board members and any other volunteers. We could not continue to have such successful seasons of hockey without our generous volunteers."
Next up for Kindersley Minor Hockey is the Esso Awards on April 16.
