Golf season is nearly upon us around west-central Saskatchewan. The week following "The Masters" golf tournament is typically a good target for the local greens to open, and that's the case in Kindersley with the first tee times coming up this Friday.
A few volunteers gathered on Friday to take off the tarps at the Kindersley Regional Park golf course, before things were postponed to Saturday due to high winds. The group of 15 or so helpers pictured above showed up to do the job Saturday morning and had things wrapped up by the early afternoon.
"Thanks so much for the crew that came out to help with the tarps!! KRPA appreciate your help!"

After the work on Saturday, it was confirmed that opening day for the course will be Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00, those being the hours for all of April. While the greens are looking good, the course is asking that people stay off the course until Friday.
In the meantime, golfers in Kindersley can get ready for the season in the pro shop. It will be open Tuesday from 11:00-2:00 and Wednesday from 3-6 for anyone that wants to purchase memberships or pay shed fees.
