March was a big month for local business.
From the 10th to the 31st, the community had the opportunity to win a $25,000 advertising campaign with Accelerate 2025, an initiative created by Golden West to boost the community's backbone with the benefits of radio and digital advertising.
After almost twenty days of receiving entries from across the province, a Miami-based business has won the campaign.
Four generations of business
The recipient is Stewart Brothers Construction, a new family-run enterprise started by siblings who received the torch from their uncle.
“We were buying my uncle's eavestroughing business, and [decided to start a new construction business],” says Cody Stewart, who owns the company with his brother Shawn. “We're fourth generation eavestroughing, and we're going to do renovations, roofing — pretty much whatever people need in the community and surrounding communities.”
The Stewart brothers bring combined experience to their new business. Shawn is a carpenter, and Cody has executed various builds.
The pair are excited to move forward with their aspirations.
“It’s something we both enjoy doing,” says Cody.
The right message for the right audience
Through its $25,000 advertising package, Stewart Brothers Construction will have access to the expertise needed to craft the right message for the right audience.
With customized strategies, promotional planning, and creative support, the campaign has been formulated intentionally to turn a short-term opportunity into flourishing growth.

Since the Stewarts are just starting out (they aim to be in operation officially this summer), it’s the perfect time for the $25,000 advertising package from Golden West.
“This ... is going to be a huge blessing in kickstarting our business,” says Cody, adding that the advertising campaign will also be valuable when it comes to spreading the word about the community’s newest construction option.
Other winners
The Stewart brothers are not the only business to receive a package from Golden West.
Every entry to Accelerate 2025 received 30 complimentary 30-second commercials, and an additional three businesses across the province have secured $5,000 in advertising campaigns for premium exposure to their target audiences:
-
Southeast Cleaners in Steinbach
-
Portage Family Dental in Portage
-
Hoffman’s Fine Foods in Winnipeg
