The Kidney Foundation, Northern Alberta and The Territories (NABT) Branch, is proud to host the Inaugural Annual Grande Prairie Kidney & Transplant Health Forum, a free community event for patients, families, potential donors, and anyone interested in learning more about kidney health and transplantation. This one-of-a-kind event will bring together kidney and transplant experts, along with those interested in learning more about organ donation, for a day of connection, education, and empowerment.

This event, taking place in the heart of Grande Prairie on Saturday, April 26, at the Northwestern Polytechnic, will offer practical tools, trusted health information, and a welcoming space to ask questions and share experiences.

The event will feature a dynamic lineup of speakers, including two nephrologists, transplant specialist, registered dietitian, renal nurse, wellness expert, and patient partners who will provide practical advice and the latest updates in kidney care and transplantation.

Topics will cover everything from nutrition and treatment options to navigating mental wellness and what to expect through every step of the journey.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Ask questions directly to healthcare professionals.
  • Hear inspiring stories from people with lived experience.
  • Learn about local resources and supports offered by The Kidney Foundation.
  • Build community with others who truly understand the journey.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, living with chronic kidney disease, awaiting a transplant, supporting a loved one, or living post-transplant, or want to learn more, this event is for you.
