RCMP have provided details on an incident that took place Thursday evening in Niverville, involving what appeared to be a man walking around with a gun.
According to police, this was an isolated event that happened in the vicinity of 4th Avenue South in Niverville, between 1st Street South and 3rd Street South. Police say a man dressed in airsoft clothing with soft body armour and helmet was seen walking around with a gun. The gun ended up being an airsoft gun.
A 19-year-old male was arrested without incident. He is facing multiple charges such as resisting arrest, weapon charges, assault, disguise with intent and impersonating a police officer.
Police say a 17-year-old male was also arrested and charges are pending.
