Mounties are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a man critically injured on the north side of Lloydminster earlier this week.
Lloydminster RCMP say they were called at 4:13 a.m. on April 15 to the area of Highway 17, just north of 52 Street, where they found an injured man at the scene.
Police confirmed Wednesday that the incident was a hit-and-run, and that the vehicle involved had been located the day prior. Investigators later determined the vehicle had been reported stolen before the collision took place.
The victim remains in critical but stable condition, RCMP said in a Thursday release.
Police are continuing to search for the person or people responsible and are asking anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
