Sunny and windy for egg hunting adventures today.

Easter is here, and for kids across the region, that means one thing — time to grab the baskets and get hunting!

Radio host Corny Rempel met some local students and heard their favourite Easter egg hunt memories and traditions. And these stories? Absolutely eggstraordinary.

Annika’s epic treasure map adventure

Annika kicked things off with a hunt that goes way beyond chocolate.

"At my friend's house, we make a whole, entire map of where all the Easter eggs could go,” she explained. “Then we all pick a name from the hat, and then we each take one, and then we have to go find them. And a lot of the time they're in the most crazy spots that are super hard to get."

Not your average backyard egg search — this one’s more like a full-on treasure hunt!

Riddles and rewards at Adeline’s grandparents’ place

Adeline shared her annual tradition with her cousins at her grandparents' home.

“We go to my Papa and grandma's house with all my cousins and then my Papa has hidden our baskets and stuff and then it's like all over his house and his property,” she said. “And then he gives each of us 3 riddles and we have to use those 3 riddles to find our Easter eggs.”

For younger kids, the clues are a little easier, but older kids get more of a challenge. Papa clearly knows how to keep it fun for everyone!

Alex brings the mischief

Alex added a little surprise to his family's celebration… in the form of a classic prank.

“Sometimes in my grandma and grandpa’s, I put real eggs inside of the Easter eggs,” he admitted. “And then when they open it up, I cracked a tiny bit and then when they open it up, it gets all over their hands.”

Messy? Yes. Hilarious? Absolutely.

Riley’s family surprise

Riley's hunt focuses on teamwork and ends with a big reward for everyone.

“Sometimes when I'm Easter hunting, they would hide like a giant toy outside for us and like normally it's something we all share,” Riley said.

Because what’s better than one Easter surprise? One that brings everyone together.

Prim’s egg-cellent farm adventure

Prim's Easter takes place on a wide-open farm — and the search spans acres.

“My grandma and grandpa have this big farm so they hide Easter eggs all around them,” she said.

And yes, even with so much ground to cover, every egg always gets found. Now that’s dedication.

From prank eggs to riddle quests, these kids know how to keep Easter fun and full of surprises. If you're heading out on an egg hunt this morning, take a few notes — or maybe even a few clues — from these creative celebrations.

Happy Easter!
