Steinbach RCMP and Ste. Anne Police Services joined forces to issue 47 tickets and warnings over the Easter weekend on Steinbach Main Street.
The enforcement took place on Friday and Saturday nights, with officers targeting a range of traffic violations. In total, 34 tickets and 13 warnings were handed out.

- 21 for speeding
- two for driving unregistered vehicles
- two for driving without valid motor vehicle liability insurance
- two for driving without a supervising driver
- one for driving without a license
- one for driving with an unauthorized number plate
- one for an illegal U-turn
- one for improper vehicle equipment
- one for disobeying a red light
- one for unlawful transportation of cannabis
According to Steinbach RCMP, one impaired driving charge was also issued. A 20-year-old male from the Rural Municipality of Hanover received a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impoundment on Saturday at 1:35 am.
Warnings Issued (13 Total):
- five for vehicle equipment issues
- three for speeding
- two for failing to produce a driver’s license
- one for consuming liquor in public
- one for loud exhaust
- one for driving without a valid license
Ste. Anne Police also report one criminal flight from police involving a white street bike on Saturday night.
On Sunday, at 12:29 pm, a 20-year-old male from Steinbach was charged with driving imprudently on Brandt Street. The offence carries a fine of $203.
Fines issued throughout the weekend ranged from $143 to $482.
