CRA sends out final carbon tax rebate payments

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has sent out the last payment of the Canada Carbon Rebate on Tuesday, April 22.

According to the CRA, the base amount for an individual in Alberta is $228, while the amount for a family of four is $456.

The payments ended as the federal government cancelled the consumer carbon tax earlier this month.

After the consumer carbon tax ended, gas prices in Strathmore dropped by an average of 18 cents per litre.
