With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Gary Hadden on April 8, 2025 at the age of 63.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his three children: Jesse Hadden, MacKenzie Strong, and Gregory Hadden; and his cherished grandchildren: Violet Hadden, Camille Strong, and Geneva Strong. He is also survived by his siblings: Luke Hadden, Kim Hadden, Scot Hadden, Josh (Jennifer) Hadden, Cindy (Jim) Telke, Christine (Dave) Lamb and Tara (Terri) Redmond; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Dale and Vi Hadden, and his brother Mac Hadden.
Born on May 15, 1961, Robert grew up in the Cabri/Hazlet area of Saskatchewan. As a child, he was a true free spirit-spending many hours outdoors, riding horses, and exploring every coulee and dugout he could reach on foot. He was also an avid reader and spent many nights awake reading anything he could find, but especially loved old western novels. His adventurous soul and love for the land shaped the man he would become.
As a young adult, Robert made Calgary his home, embracing life to the fullest and forming many lifelong friendships along the way. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, Robert left a last impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm, caring nature, and unmistakable charm were matched by his eclectic sense of style and genuine love of life.
Above all, Robert’s greatest joy was his family. His children were his world and we find comfort in knowing that his strength, compassion, and vibrant spirit live on through them.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday May 10, 2025, where friends and family will gather to honor Robert’s memory and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Forever in our hearts, Robert will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
