Quesada in Strathmore is turning seven years old on Saturday, April 26.

To celebrate the event, the Mexican-style restaurant will be giving every dollar they make that day towards the Strathmore Hospital.

"Since we opened, we've seen so many ups and downs, especially during COVID, but the community supported us," said Raj Singh, owner of the Strathmore Quesada. "The main reason to donate to the hospital is to support the community with a good cause."

"Eventually, we all need the healthcare system."

The store will also be selling large burritos for $5.99, a significant drop in price from its usual cost of around $11.

"Every customer should participate in this good cause so that we can have more support to our healthcare system and to our hospital."

In previous years Quesada had done the fundraiser, even running out of food due to the popularity. To prepare for this year, Singh has set the fundraiser for a single day and purchased extra food ahead of time.

The fundraiser runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
