Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement are looking for information surrounding an alleged poaching incident that happened near Strathmore on December 28, 2024.

Officers say that they responded to reports near Namaka Lake of someone firing a gun within 40 metres of a home. Alberta Fish and Wildlife believe the suspects were shooting at game birds in an adjacent field from the home.

When the suspects were confronted by a neighbour, they sped away from the scene. Officers believe that two people were inside the suspect vehicle at the time of the incident.

The vehicle that fled is described as a newer light greyish-green Jeep Wrangler or similar model with a square body and tire mounted on the rear hatch.
