Rosetown Muffler and Bearing is the “One Stop Shop” that more and more people are discovering, and when they do walk through the door, they’re impressed. Trent Alyward, owner, explains, “We often surprise a lot of people with how much inventory we have here, particularly people out of town. We really try to cater to the farmer, since Rosetown is an ag community. But we get construction people and regular people in as well.” Trent talks about some construction workers who discovered firsthand that Rosetown Muffler and Bearing really does have “a little bit of everything. “Yeah, they were driving into Saskatoon almost daily for things that we carry here. Someone told them about us, and when they walked into the store, they were very excited to find everything they needed. No driving to Saskatoon anymore.” Even if you’re not sure what you need exactly, they’ll help you any way they can, often sharing some of their knowledge. “I’m a journeyman and also grew up on a farm, so did my wife. Darren is our welder as well as a journeyman and mechanic.
Rosetown Muffler and Bearing was started over 30 years ago, by Trevor and Deb Saint John, with the original building was across from the town water tower. They built a new building in 1986, and in 2020, Trent and his wife Katie took over the business. There’s a lot of history in the Rosetown Muffler and Bearing name. Both Trent and Katie are excited to build on that history. “We really pride ourselves on the service we offer and really want to help people in and around Rosetown any way we can.”
Don’t be surprised if you see Trent, Katie or both in the store, “Yeah, we’re the absolute definition of a ‘mom and pop shop’. We really do want to help everyone who comes in.” Even though Rosetown Muffler and Bearing may traditionally be an old school farm store,Trent says they’re seeing a trend, “Something that is really awesome is that we are seeing more and more women coming into the store. That’s where Katie steps in and offers her expertise as we do carry women’s clothing and quite a bit of gardening stuff.” Rosetown Muffler and Bearing also carries tools from brands Milwaukee, Jet Tools and Procore. No matter if you’re working on a car truck, semi, or farm equipment, if they don’t have it there’s a pretty good chance, they’ll get it for you. “We just want to be in people’s brain when they’re think about a project. Maybe you heard about us on social media, or someone mentioned us to you. Come give us a try.” Because Rosetown Muffler and Bearing has “a little bit of everything”.
