Team Mandisa remembers singer one year after death

It's been one year since "Overcomer" singer Mandisa died. 

Team Mandisa shared on her Facebook page to commemorate the late singer.

"A year has passed since we found her in her home, and yet her presence, her voice, and her faith still echo in the hearts of so many." 

The one-year mark fell on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, a "day of pain, of silence, of unanswered questions. It reminds us of how dark the world can feel when light seems gone," the post said. 

"Mandisa knew that even when grief holds us in its grip, God’s promises still stand because hope wasn’t buried—it was only waiting. And so are we. As we remember Mandisa today, we hold tight to the same hope she clung to: That the story isn’t over. That Jesus’s resurrection is real. That love wins. It may still feel like Friday—but we know Sunday is coming."
