Students across Strathmore took part in Pitch-In Week.

Between April 17 and 23 there were several community clean ups throughout the town. Groups, schools, and the town itself helped clean litter around Strathmore.

The 1st Strathmore Scouts also pitched in, helping to clean up the Strathmore Skate Park.

Some of the schools that got involved include Strathmore High School and Crowther Memorial Junior High School, with the former cleaning up around Wheatland Trail and Gray's Park, and the latter cleaning the field around the school itself.

Pitch-In Week is Canada's largest environmental campaign, with the town saying that it serves are an opportunity for residents to clean the community.

The week coincides around Earth Day, which took place on April 22.
