Kinsmen Lake is now stocked with 1,500 rainbow trout.

The fish were delivered by Smoky Trout Farm as part of the province's recreational fish stocking program.

Fish have been delivered to Kinsmen Lake since the late 60s, with the fish stocking program using over 2.1 million trout at 240 lakes across the province.

"We’ve referred to the storm pond by many names: Kinsmen Lake, Lambert Lake, Strathmore Children’s Pond, even Strathmore Town Lake," wrote the town on social media. "No matter what you call it, it’s been part of our community’s outdoor life for decades."

Fishing is allowed at the lake for anyone under 16 or over 65.
