Winnipeg motorcyclist, 30, dies in Highway 9 crash

A 30-year-old man is dead following a serious collision in the RM of St. Andrews Saturday afternoon.

Selkirk RCMP were called to Higheay 9 near Mitchell Bay at around 4 p.m. on Saturday where a motorcycle had collided with a three-ton truck.

Officers say the motorcycle was travelling south on Highway 9 and collided with a three-ton truck turning westbound onto Mitchell Bay.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in thr crash.

The 30-year-old driver of the motorcycle from Winnipeg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 67-year-old driver of the three-ton truck had his licence suspended under the Highway Traffic Act. 

The Selkirk RCMP continue to investigate.
