Conservative candidate David Bexte is the new MP for Bow River.
Canadians went to the polls for the 2025 federal election on Monday, April 28.
As of Tuesday, Bexte had 78.8 per cent of the vote in the riding, amounting to approximately 43,891 votes.
Bexte, who lives in Vulcan County, ran on a slogan of "family, community and country." He replaced former MP Martin Shields earlier this year after Shields announced he would not seek re-election.
Bentley Barnes, the Liberal candidate, secured 16.9 per cent of the vote. NDP candidate Louisa Gwin came third with three per cent.
Tom Lipp of the Christian Heritage Party received 0.7 per cent of the vote, while Aaron Patton of the United Party of Canada had 0.5 per cent.
Despite the local result, the Liberal Party is projected to win the federal election and lead for another four years.
