Brandon Lake has released a new single off his forthcoming album, King of Hearts.
The new track, "Daddy's DNA," follows up his successful worship hit, "Hard Fought Hallelujah."
"SURPRISE!!! Maybe my favourite song I’ve ever written, “Daddy’s DNA,” is out now!!! We decided to just drop it early, and I pray it’s a blessing to you like it’s been to me," said Lake in a post on social media. "I hope it just reminds you that you have a father that's there to welcome you, not just welcome you, but run out to get you and bring you home no matter how far you've run, where you've been and despite the things you've done."
Lake recently had the honour of performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live alongside Jelly Roll. The pair also performed in front of a crowd of over 75,000 people at Stagecoach 2025.
This new song left Jelly Roll with chills.
"That gave me goosebumps in my knees," said Jelly Roll after hearing the song for the first time. " I don't get goosebumps below my waist."
Jelly Roll believes that Lake's new single will be the song of the year.
King of Hearts will hit shelves June 13, 2025.
