The Chosen team has decided that moving forward, they will no longer share release dates unless they are locked in.

Dallas Jenkins made the announcement via a live stream on YouTube on Monday.

"We have always been extremely transparent," said Dallas Jenkins. "You get a peek behind the curtain, and sometimes with that comes our in-real-time thoughts. I'm going to be reducing your access to that somewhat. Moving forward, we are not going to give dates until we have them locked in. We're just not going to talk about release schedules anymore until we have it locked in."

One thing Dallas did mention is that the first six episodes of Season 6 will most likely come out sometime next year, but it won't be early.

"Please be grateful for the fact that we try to get it to you as soon as possible," said Jenkins. "Be grateful for the fact that the show has grown and gotten bigger, and that we are trying to satisfy the needs of everyone around the world."

Meanwhile, details on the Season 5's release date on Amazon Prime will be announced on May 2 during a live stream.

Jenkins says the episodes will be released the same way they were done in the theatre, the first two episodes in the first week, the next three in the second week and the final three episodes in week 3.

All episodes will be released on the Chosen App, 90 days after making their Prime premiere.
