A Drumheller man is being charged after using his vehicle to break into a local convenience store.

RCMP have arrested and charged a Drumheller man with break and enter, theft, and mischief.

Drumheller RCMP said they responded to a break and enter at Nacmine Convenience Store at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29.

According to police, a male driver had used his vehicle to enter the store, causing damage to the business and its inventory.

Officers later located and arrested 29-year-old Zachary Centrone and charged him with:

  • Break and enter to business
  • Theft under $5000
  • Mischief over $5000

Police said Centrone was also subjected to an impaired roadside sanction. 

The suspect was released from custody and has a court date set for May 9 in Drumheller.
