A youth has been identified in connection with a series of graffiti incidents that occurred over the weekend in Kindersley.

In its quarterly report, the Kindersley RCMP said the suspect was identified with the help of the public. The youth has been caught and will be dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The graffiti appeared in multiple locations across town between Friday and Sunday. Social media posts over the weekend documented the vandalism, which affected homes, buildings, driveways and vehicles.

The first reported incident was on Friday April 25 at Westberry Elementary School, where the word “Kindo” was spray-painted in red and black. On Saturday, an anonymous post shared four additional locations marked with graffiti, many featuring a recurring crown symbol.

By Sunday, images surfaced of more offensive graffiti located between the Kindersley movie theatre and the Masonic Lodge.

The RCMP thanked the community for its assistance in identifying the suspect and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity.
