The Kindersley Kobras football team has had great success with their bi-annual bottle drive
Categories

The Kindersley Kobras football team is getting together this weekend for their annual springtime bottle drive.

The team is asking residents to leave their bags of bottles and cans out front of their house for easy pickup. Anybody who can't facilitate a pickup but still wants to donate can drop their recycling off at SARCAN and donate it to the team account.

All funds raised will be going towards new equipment for the team. Recent bottle drives have brought in anywhere between $3500-$4500.

The Kobras are also looking for more coaches to help out next season. Anyone interested can reach out to existing head coach Mack Francis at mackenzie.francis@sunwestsd.ca.

The team hopes to have some coaching interest by spring camp, now about a month out. Teams are allowed a certain amount of practice time in the spring to let returning players get some work in and give a chance for new players to come out and try football before fully committing in the fall.
