It is with saddened hearts that the family of Mr. Franklin Anderson announce his passing at the age of 91 years, on April 29, 2025 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan with his family by his side. A private family graveside will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Franklin Anderson was born on January 30, 1934 in Rush Lake, Saskatchewan to John and Olga Anderson. He attended school at the Center Spring Country School. On August 15, 1964, Franklin married the love of life, Vera Dunham at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Dad loved the family farm and worked hard at it growing crops and having cows as well. He enjoyed and loved the life spent with his wife Vera and raising their 3 kids on it and now grandkids and great grandkids enjoying the farm as well. He was fortunate to live on the family farm till 91 years of age.
Franklin is survived by his children: Teresa (Steven) Ruf, David Anderson, and Jane (Jason) Corey; grandchildren: Craig Ruf (Karlee), Curtis Ruf, Carson Ruf, Kazennya Anderson, and Kerri Lee Anderson; step-grandchildren: Conner, Austin, Keyanna and Sydney; great grandchildren: Sawyer and Brett Ruf; brother Bob Anderson; sister Francis Gerlach; sister-in-laws: Alice Wall and Edna Dunham; brother-in-law Eldon (Carol) Dunham. Franklin was predeceased by his wife Vera Anderson; parents John and Olga Anderson.
Franklin was a member of the Water Users of Rush lake, Sk from 1969-1997, and the Waldeck School Board. He had a few special hobbies. He enjoyed broom ball, curling, snow mobiling and snowmobile races. Franklin was always there to help neighbors, and anybody in need, and always had a smile on his face.
We all have great memories of Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa. Love your family.
