The Kindersley Kobras football team has seen generous support from the community over the past few years when it comes to the team's bi-annual bottle drive. The day of work tends to raise anywhere between $3500-$4500, getting bigger each year, parents and players making their rounds likely expecting a plateau at some point.
Well, that wasn't the case back on May 3, as the football team brought in possibly their biggest haul to SARCAN yet.

Members of the Kobra Football Parents Association Wendy Martin and Courtney Hopkins took to social media to share the results and gave this thank you to the community.
"Our Kobra football team would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated cans/bottles to our bottle drive this past Saturday. It may be our biggest one yet!" shared the post. "Thanks again for your amazing support, Kindersley!! Hope to see you at a game or two this fall."
The money raised will be going towards new football pants and other equipment. The bottle drive has also been helping replace a few helmets every year for the team, the most expensive and important safety accessory.
Next up for the team will be spring camp running June 2-6. The Kobras are still searching for some potential coaches for the upcoming season, as anyone interested can email mackenzie.francis@sunwestsd.ca for more information.
