Youth ages 14 to 30 are invited to join the City of Grande Prairie at this year’s Youth Career Discovery Expo on Thursday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bonnetts Energy Centre.
The expo creates an immersive experience by highlighting the vast number of career possibilities and educational pathways available in the Grande Prairie region.
Expo highlights:
·Over 100 exhibitors: An impressive lineup of more than 100 exhibitors are in attendance, showcasing an array of in-demand careers and educational opportunities with tangible relevance to today’s job market.
·Interactive experiences: The expo features engaging exhibits, including virtual job simulations and hands-on activities, providing a practical glimpse into various professions.
·Connections with future employers: An opportunity for attendees to meet with employers eager to fill youth positions, including summer jobs, offering a valuable gateway into the workforce.
·Prizes: Engage and win! Complete the event survey and enter a draw for a chance to win great technology prizes.
·FREE Admission: The event is open to all ages free of charge ensuring accessible opportunities for everyone who is interested in learning more.
People of all ages are encouraged to attend this interactive and hands-on event to explore the wide range of industries, trade associations, educational institutions and community support organizations.
