The public responded strongly after the Rosetown and Kyle RCMP issued a warning on Wednesday about a possible paving scam circulating the area.
It involves a group called “Construction Redwood” or “Redwood Paving” roaming around in a grey half ton truck with Alberta plates. Police are sharing that the outfit is not a legitimate company, and that anyone with information should contact their local detachment directly.

Posted to social media and gaining over 200 shares Wednesday, more details came out about the operation in the comments section.
One person shared that the truck was noticed in Perdue just Wednesday morning, south of the RM of Corman Park a week and a half ago, and the Rosthern area three weeks ago. Another commenter said they have been around the Young region southeast of Saskatoon, adding that their sales pitch is strong, and that they tend to get frustrated, and even made when you say no multiple times.
In another comment, that story was corroborated by a resident of Dalmeny.
"I think that’s the same guy that came to my house last summer, he said they had a bunch of leftover asphalt from a job and they needed to get rid of it otherwise it goes hard and can’t be used, he was offering to pave the end 10 feet of my driveway that is gravel, said he could do it for $2000, I kept saying I couldn’t afford it and by the time I finally got him to leave he was down to $1000." it read.
One person posted an image of the "Redwood" business card, pictured above, that contains only an email and website and no phone number for direct contact. They have been contacting RMs and businesses in addition to homeowners and other property owners.
