A large section of West Central will be without power late Thursday night, but residents likely won't even notice it according to SaskPower.

SaskPower has a planned outage for the area set between 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM affecting each of the Rosetown-Eston, Rosetown-Plato, Rosetown - Wiseton Dinsmore, Rosetown - Kyle White Bear grids.

The specific customers being affected according to SaskPower are those in Elrose, Wiseton, Dinsmore, Wartime & rurals from north of Kyle to areas past Elrose & northeast of Kyle to Hwy #42 & Dinsmore, as well as areas east of Plato to Dinsmore.

Scott McGregor, spokesperson for SaskPower, says customers likely won't be disrupted.

"We are going to be changing out some broken equipment. Some faulty wiring on one of our transformers, so we are going to need to shut off an entire sub-station to do the work." shared McGregor about the late-night outage. "All that customers should notice are maybe some flashing clocks in the morning."

The work was initially announced on the morning of May 6. Also announced that day was a separate outage for the Rosetown - Kyle White Bear grid on Thursday, taking place from 12:00pm to 2:00pm affecting rural customers northwest of the Sask. Landing Provincial Park.
