A group of moms from Strathmore reunited 18 years after attending pre-natal classes together.

The seven mothers and their children met at the Strathmore Curling Rink on Wednesday, May 7, the same place they had met for a group photo almost two decades before.

"We all met there before the babies came along, and they were all born within six weeks of each other," said Brenda Stuart-Berry, one of the mothers. "There were 11 of them, but four of them moved away."

All but one of the seven kids attend Strathmore High School, with them gearing up for graduation in the coming weeks.

"We were kind of a tight knit group, and coming to Canada with no family, for me it was really important to bond with other moms and support each other."

Stuart-Berry said it's bittersweet to see how much time has passed.

"It seemed five minutes ago when I was pushing my son around in a stroller, and now he's driving me around in his car. We give them wings, and they have to fly."

Stuart-Berry's son Connor was recently made the new Warrant Officer First Class for the 903 Strathmore Air Cadets.
