An American Idol contestant, unashamed of her faith, has reached the top 7.
Breanna Nix, whose goal is to save souls and sing to the bound and broken, says she gives all the glory to God.
"I would not be here without salvation," said Nix in a Facebook live Thursday evening. "There have been so many times in my life when the devil taunted me with just being dumb, and I am so thankful that God has his hand on me and has kept me safe."
Throughout the past several weeks, Breanna has used the American Idol stage as a platform to reach souls and to grow in her own faith.
"I've gotten so much closer to God through this experience. I've been able to witness to so many people and minister more than I ever thought possible, and God is just truly so good, and he deserves all my praise," said Breanna. "It's not me. It's God."
No matter the outcome of the show, Breanna says her goal is to get her music out to the world.
"I just pray that it doesn't go back to the way it was. I pray that God would make it even bigger and that I could write music, which I've already written songs, and I can get my music out, my songs, go travel, worship and inspire. That's what I want to do so bad. I am believing that's what the Lord will do."
When Breanna sent in her audition tape, she did not think she would get a response.
"I did not expect to make it through, but I told God if I did, I would put him first and that I would share all the things that I need to share, no matter how hard or humble I have to be because I want to strengthen somebody through my testimony and I want someone to know Jesus through my story and everything my family has been through."
Breanna says if she does make it through to the finale, she will sing a powerful Christian song.
"He's really blessed me. I can't wait to tell the world about Jesus."
Breanna will perform again on Sunday, with only five of the seven making it through to Monday, when they narrow it down to the top three.
