Ashton, Diane Pearl passed away May 6, 2025, at the age of 76. At the time of her passing, Diane lived in Moose Jaw, and was formerly of Swift Current and Outlook.
Her residence at time of death was Moose Jaw, she also lived in Swift Current and Outlook at various times.
The graveside service will be held on May 12, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, with Susan Franklyn officiating and singing. A lunch will follow the service at St Stephen's Anglican Church at 2:15 p.m.
Pallbearers will be: Ian Vandergrift, Anthony Goodman, Nicholas Gruel, Randy Gane, David Jones, and Kenton Anderson. The honorary pallbearers were Alexander Goodman and Cayden Anderson.
Diane is survived by Michellea Sorensen (Dave Jones), and her: family Anthony Goodman (Ruth Kala), Azalea, Alexander Goodman. Twila Fowler (Sheldon Fowler), and her family: Ian Vandergrift (Sandi Martinez), Alma Vandergrift Martinez, Krystal Gruell (Nicolas), Riley, Avery, Rowan. Tamara Head (Erwin), and their family: Quinn Lisko, Brandon Lisko. Her siblings: Gaye, Lee, Karen (Duncan), and Linda, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Diane was predeceased by her parents Bill and Belle Brewin; her husband Joe Ashton Jr; her sister Patricia Brewin; her brother Allan Brewin, and many other cherished family members, and friends.
Diane was born June 30, 1948 in Moose Jaw, and went to school in Caron and Mortlach Saskatchewan.
Diane loved to read, and fish. She loved to bake for her grandchildren, peanut butter cookies whenever they visited. She loved to play crib and solitaire, and taught her grandchildren to play as well. Diane loved doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, going for walks in Outlook, picking up pails of golf balls, shopping. Diane had a love of Tim Horton’s double double, and their old fashioned plain donuts. She enjoyed having a coffee and sitting by Mac the Moose while listening to music.
Later in life, in Crescent Park Seniors Home, she loved hearing people sing, which meant, she attended every church service that had music.
In memory of Diane, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
