The Steinbach Chamber’s Executive Director has officially joined the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce’s 2025/26 Board of Directors as a newly appointed Director.
Tessa Masi says new board members were officially welcomed at the recent Manitoba Chamber annual general meeting.
“I am very honoured to be one of them as an incoming board member, specifically to represent the chambers in our area, in Manitoba.”
She explains that the Steinbach Chamber has been working to create more visibility for the business community, and this new role will be a step forward.
“I think that this is a really great opportunity for us to understand what's happening more on the provincial level with the chambers and just to be part of the conversation in a more impactful way.”
When it comes to the business community, Masi says that Steinbach stands out.
“One of the things we have in Steinbach, specifically within the business community, is a lot of diversity, creativity, and a lot of engagement. Our business community isn't just doing their thing in a silo. They're involved in the community, they want to connect with other people. And I think that's what makes being a part of our Steinbach Chamber so exciting because we get to bring some of those pieces together.”
As she steps into her new role, Masi looks forward to both listening and contributing.
“My expectation is to learn a lot from very qualified people. And I think my hope is to really be able to bring the voice of what our communities are looking for and how they can be well supported.”
With this new opportunity, Masi says she’s ready to serve and grow.
“I'm really honoured that they have selected me for this position, and I just want to be part of it and serve the best that I can and learn a lot along the way.”
