Sunshine, sizzling deals, and sweet treats brought Luseland to life on Saturday, May 10, as the community hosted its highly anticipated Town-Wide Garage Sale.
With temperatures climbing into the high 20s, more than 20 garage sales popped up across town, offering everything from household treasures to vintage finds. Residents and visitors alike hit the streets, maps in hand, ready to bargain hunt — and they weren’t disappointed.
Adding to the charm, local kids stepped up to serve cookies and iced tea to thirsty shoppers, bringing smiles and refreshment to the day’s adventure. Meanwhile, Luseland businesses joined in on the action with sidewalk sales, giving bargain hunters even more reason to browse downtown.
The Luseland Museum opened its doors to visitors, offering free coffee, cookies, and a chance to explore their Wartime Memories displays — a perfect pit stop to cool off and soak in a bit of history.
Food lovers had their pick of delicious stops along the way: juicy burgers were being flipped at the Legion, while homemade pie and ice cream were served at the Pioneer Club. The Bell Acres Clubhouse also drew a crowd with its used book sale — the perfect ending to a busy morning of garage hopping.
Maps were available both online and at the Luseland Salvador Homecoming Hall, helping guide eager shoppers to every hidden gem in town.
With sunshine, community spirit, and plenty of good deals, this year’s Luseland Town-Wide Garage Sale was a picture-perfect spring Saturday.
