The crew at 104.5 More Country visited the team at Magnum Opus Inc.
The farm is seeding multiple crops this year, which include barley, irrigated hay, and canola.
Jared Dougan is the part-time owner of the farm and says farming is what he has always wanted to do.
"When I was young, this is what I thought I wanted and now being a little older, having to deal with all the responsibilities, my vision has maybe shifted a little bit, but it's good. I've learned a lot throughout the years, and I guess I can maybe have a different vision in another 10 to 15 years."
The 8,500-acre farm is located north of Strathmore and has been around for 100 years.
"We are fifth generation. It started over by Nightingale, Alberta. It's been running for the last over 100 years, but we kind of got serious in the last 10 years," said Dougan.
The farmers were fed some grub from Baldwin BBQ.
