Rosetown RCMP are investigating the theft of several tons of reclaimed asphalt from a worksite along Highway 31 near Stranraer.
Police say the material was taken sometime between April 28 and May 9, 2025. Investigators believe the quantity of asphalt stolen would have required multiple large trucks or several trips by a single truck.
The theft was reported to police on May 9.
RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible. They’re urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during that time to come forward. Residents and landowners in the area are also being asked to check their properties for any material that may have been dumped or stored without permission.
Anyone with home security or dash camera footage from the area between April 28 and May 9 is encouraged to review the recordings and contact police if anything suspicious appears.
Information can be reported to Rosetown RCMP by dialling 310-RCMP, or anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
