A 33-year-old Macklin woman is facing multiple charges following a search warrant executed by RCMP at a residence in the community between May 6 and May 12.

According to Unity RCMP, the woman was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order condition. The matter remains under investigation.

RCMP also received a complaint of harassing communications and a separate complaint of fraud during the reporting period. In both cases, police say there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Anyone with information about crimes in the Unity, Wilkie or Macklin areas is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

RCMP are also reminding residents that certain non-urgent crimes can now be reported online at ocre-sielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/saskatchewan. Eligible crimes include fraud and property damage under $5,000, lost or stolen property, some traffic offences, and non-threatening harassing communications. Incidents involving suspects or witnesses should still be reported directly to local police.
