After spending three days in hospital after going septic from a kidney stone, Christian singer Heather Rose Jordan is back home.

Her family says it all started last Monday. Heather was rushed to the ER with severe back pain and uncontrollable vomiting. They did bloodwork, ran a CT scan, and found a kidney stone, but no signs of infection, so she was sent home.

Over the next two days, things continued to go downhill.

"The pain meds helped ease the pain, but she had a reaction to them. Her face and lips started swelling, and she still couldn’t keep food down and the fevers and shaking kept coming full force. So much of what was happening to her body just wasn’t right," said her mother-in-law, Randa Jordan.

By Wednesday afternoon, Heather's fever came back with a vengeance. Her husband, Hutch, rushed her to the hospital immediately.

"It was absolutely heartbreaking to see how sick she was," said Jordan.

When they reached the hospital a second time, they finally got the answers they were seeking.

"An E. coli infection had set in, and her body was already in sepsis."

From there, the family says things escalated quickly, with her blood pressure dropping and her going into septic shock.

"They started her immediately on fluids, strong antibiotics, nausea meds, and medication to stabilize her vitals," said Randa. "She was in the hospital for 3 days, and honestly, we all believed it would be way longer than that with how severely sick she was."

Heather is now home, and the family says they feel blessed at how quickly she has recovered.

"It is truly a miracle of God that the doctor felt she could even come home this past Saturday afternoon. And while she is doing better, her body is still sick, it’s healing. It’s still not over. She ran a slight fever early Sunday morning, and today she had a little nausea again. She’s still fighting the infection, and she still has a surgery ahead very soon to remove many large kidney stones that could be a major risk down the road."

The family continues to ask for prayer moving forward.

"Your prayers matter…still. Your support matters...still. Please keep praying. God is working, God is healing, and we believe He’ll finish what He started."
