WARMAN, Sask. — Saskatchewan RCMP are renewing a public appeal for information in a sexual offence investigation after releasing an updated suspect sketch.

RCMP say the investigation stems from a disturbing incident reported on May 9 at a business just off Highway 762, south of Saskatoon. Police allege an unknown adult male lured a child under the age of six to a secluded area of the property and exposed himself. The offence was interrupted by the child’s family, and the suspect fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.

The child was not physically harmed, police said.

A search of the area was conducted with help from RCMP Police Dog Services, but the suspect was not located.

As part of the ongoing investigation, a forensic sketch artist with Saskatchewan RCMP has produced an updated composite image of the man, which was released Friday.

The suspect is described as approximately six feet tall with a medium build and light complexion. He has medium-length curly blond hair, is clean-shaven, and has visible spaces between his teeth. At the time of the offence, he was reportedly wearing a black baseball cap, grey mirrored sunglasses, a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Warman RCMP and the RCMP General Investigation Section continue to investigate.

Anyone with information about the incident or who recognizes the individual in the updated sketch is asked to contact RCMP by calling 310-RCMP. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Police are not releasing further details about the child in order to protect their identity.
