The Paisley Boutique, now celebrating its 15th year, wasn't born from a lifelong retail ambition, but rather from a simple observation of a community need.
As Kyra, the store's Manager, recounts, "Laurel never planned on running a clothing boutique, but sometimes the best journeys are the unexpected ones.
It all started when her daughter-in-law asked where to shop in Cochrane—at the time, options were slim to none. With a background in renovation and design, Laurel had an eye for aesthetics, but fashion retail was new territory. In 2010, she took the leap, opening The Paisley Boutique with her daughter-in-law by her side—and just like that, a beloved, family owned and operated local business was born!”
This serendipitous beginning laid the foundation for a business deeply rooted in understanding and serving its clientele. Laurel Pasishnik, the owner, brought an unexpected yet complementary background to the venture.
"Laurel’s background in interior design naturally bridged the gap to fashion — her passion for creating beautiful, cohesive spaces seamlessly translated to helping women feel confident and stylish.
