MACKLIN, Sask. — RCMP in Macklin responded to a mix of calls this past week, including a fuel theft, roadside suspension, and a barking dog that couldn’t be tracked down.

Between May 13 and 19, Macklin RCMP say they received a complaint of fuel theft from a local gas station. The matter remains under investigation.

During a traffic stop, police issued a 72-hour roadside suspension to a motorist who failed a roadside breath test.

Officers were also dispatched after a report of a barking dog, but were unable to locate the animal.

RCMP members assisted another detachment in locating a missing person and responded to one traffic complaint.

One 911 call was determined to be false.

Police are reminding residents in the Unity, Wilkie and Macklin areas that certain non-urgent crimes — such as minor theft, vandalism under $5,000, and fraud — can be reported online at ocresielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/saskatchewan.

Anyone with information about crimes in the area is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
