KYLE, Sask. – Kyle RCMP responded to a range of calls for service from May 16 to 22, including a child luring complaint, impaired driving, and vandalism at a regional park.
On May 16, officers received a number of calls from the Rosetown area, including a suspicious person at 8:26 a.m., a lost cellphone at 10:51 a.m., and a stolen e-bike at 11:14 a.m. That same morning, at 11:21 a.m., a semi collided with a bull in the Rural Municipality of Lacadena. No injuries were reported.
At 1:49 p.m., police responded to a loose horse running along Highway 7, followed at 1:58 p.m. by a serious complaint of child luring in the Rosetown area. The investigation remains ongoing.
On May 17, officers received a mischief complaint involving a motor vehicle in Wiseton at 10:08 a.m. At 2:02 p.m., police investigated an erratic driver north of Kyle on Highway 4. Charges were laid for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
On May 18 at 1:06 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 7 near Rosetown. There was insufficient evidence to proceed. At 6:22 p.m., officers responded to reports of mischief at Prairie Lake Regional Park, where several road signs had been knocked down or removed. That investigation is ongoing.
On May 19 at 4:47 p.m., officers conducted a well-being check in Rosetown.
On May 20, Kyle RCMP began investigating a harassing communications complaint in Rosetown at 10:36 a.m. Later that evening at 7:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks in the RM of Harris. The vehicle was removed without incident and no further action was required.
Over the week, Kyle RCMP issued 43 traffic-related charges and responded to one 911 misdial and one false alarm.
