The Town of Strathmore have an event going on for residents on Saturday, May 24.
Equipment in the Park runs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Kinsmen Park and features the heavy equipment and trucks that the town has in its fleet.
"The public will see the town’s public works, parks and municipal enforcement equipment and personnel," said staff with the town. "They will get a chance to sit in the equipment, test the horns, and talk to the operators."
STARS and BluPlanet will also be at the event, along with colouring contests, prizes, and food trucks.
"Our crews have been busy cleaning equipment, prepping the event space, and organizing staff and other participants," added staff.
The town says the event celebrated Public Works Week, which highlights the efforts and contributions of those who keep infrastructure running behind the scenes.
This is the second consecutive year that the event has been hosted.
