At the age of 79, Duck Dynasty's patriarch, husband, father, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, has died.
"It was his testimony that changed his life, our families life, and thousands of others," said his granddaughter, Sadie Robertson. "Now he is experiencing it in the fullness. Fully alive in Christ. The new has come."
In December 2024, Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. His health continued to decline since that time, finding out that Robertson also had blood disorder which can potentially lead to ministrokes, as well as severe appetite issues.
"My dad has gone to be with the Lord today!" said Robertson's son, Jase, on social media. "He will be missed but we know he is in good hands, and our family is good because God is very good! We will see him again!"
Robertson passed away on May 25, 2025, surrounded by family. The group that is used to the spotlight with their show Duck Dynasty have asked for prayers during this time. They will be hosting a celebration ceremony for Phil at a later date.
"Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus," said Korie Robertson on social media. "We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again."
After sharing their lives for 11 seasons, the original Duck Dynasty stopped airing in 2017. At the beginning of 2025, the family announced a reboot of the show would be released this summer called Duck Dynasty: The Revival, and that it would continue on without Phil.
