Jeremarie Olivia Bishop was born in Rockport, Maine (U.S.A), December 24, 1977. She is a proud member of Onigaming First Nations, Ontario, Treaty #3, and belongs to Bear Clan. She is also known lovingly as Jere.

Jeremarie leaves behind her mother Jean Bishop (nee Copenace) of Onigaming First Nations. She also leaves her sisters Lori M. Mainville (partner Mike), Patricia Mainville, Michelle Mainville, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, and relatives.

Jeremarie was predeceased by her brothers Curtis Mainville, Rudy Mainville, sister Natalie Mainville, and niece Cheyenne Fox. And many more loved relatives.

Jeremarie was a very loving person, who smiled at everyone and loved her family. She loved giving and receiving hugs with loved ones. Anyone who knew her received her unconditional, pure, and innocent love. She loved music where she would often sing her heart out, dance with her mother, family, and relatives near and far. Jeremarie won many medals in Special Olympics and was an avid swimmer. She also loved her culture and pow wow. She had a passion for the Christmas holidays and planned far in advance what she wanted to do. Two of her favorite groups were One Direction and Back Street Boys. She loved arts and crafts and was an avid artist. Her home and room adorned with her art, and she often gave these pieces as gifts. She was a fan of scary movies and often talked about how funny they were. Jeremarie had an amazing sense of humor as she liked to share a joke and tease her loved ones. Her laugh was heard by all around her and made us laugh and smile with her. Most recent times she did want to marry actor Adam Beach and kept a close eye on the famous. She studied on Youtube how to pick flowers to make tea. She believed in God and would pray and loved to sing Amazing Grace. At family gatherings she would lead in prayer to bless the food.

Her spirit will always be with us, her lively way of living will always be remembered. She was the kind of soul that everyone cherished. We will always love and hold her in our hearts. We love you so very much, with all our hearts, forever and a day Jeremarie. The following lyrics comes from one of Jeremarie’s favorite song ‘Over the Rainbow’ cover by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole,

…’Bluebirds fly, And the dreams that you dream of Dreams really do come true-ooh-ooh Someday I'll wish upon a star Wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney tops that's where You'll find me, oh’…
