There were no matters before the Kindersley provincial court on May 27. However, several cases originally set in Kindersley have progressed through the courts in Saskatoon.

Jeffery Houle appeared in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench on May 16 for a preliminary hearing. The court found there was sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. A pre-trial conference is now scheduled for June 20. Houle is facing multiple charges, including sexual interference, sexual assault, making sexually explicit material available to a child, and several firearms-related offences such as improper storage and unauthorized possession.

In a separate matter, Cameron Watson appeared in Saskatoon provincial court and pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges. Sentencing details are expected at a later date.

Looking ahead to the Kindersley circuit court in June, several significant cases are scheduled to appear.

Brenden Wilson is facing numerous charges including possession of property obtained by crime, motor vehicle theft, mischief, break and enter with intent, theft, possession of break-in instruments, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and trespassing at night. Lawyers indicated they are close to a resolution.

Also scheduled to appear are Brandie Boulton, charged with theft and fraud, and Jeffery Currie, charged with assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm.
