Louise Michaud, Saskatchewan's Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, stopped by the Southeast College campuses yesterday afternoon for a meet and greet with faculty and staff.
"I've had the good fortune to be able to go to Whitewood, Weyburn, and Estevan today, so absolutely, it's a fantastic journey meeting some amazing staff and seeing a lot of opportunity for students. I've been in the role for just under a year, and this has been my first opportunity to come to this area."
She said the purpose of her visit is to gain an understanding of 'what happens on the ground' for the schools.
"What the priorities for Southeast College look like this year and in the coming year, how we can work together and really about making sure that we have a good two-way relationship that enables Southeast [College] and its students to thrive, as well as to help meet the needs, and realize the priorities of government."
