Emily Minchin Obituary
In loving memory of Emily May Minchin (nee Reed) of Major/Kindersley, SK who passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 84 years.
Emily was predeceased by parents ‘Buster’ and Amy Reed; former husband Clem Knorr, and husband Elmer Minchin; siblings: Roslin (Kevan) Hardie, Vera (Bill) Sauverwald, Sadie (Jim) Schan, Archie (Sophie) Reed, Morris (Marge) Reed, Jim (Donna) Reed, Charlie Reed, Douglas (Diane) Reed, and Richard (Donna/Heather) Reed.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Dean (Elaine) Knorr and Karen (Brian) Fournier; grandchildren: Nicholas, Kathryn, Amy (Robin), Robin (JJ) and Ian (Felecia); seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a Graveside Service held for Emily on Saturday, May 31st, at 2:00 p.m. in the Major Cemetery, followed by lunch and fellowship in the Major Centennial Hall. (Detailed directions to Cemetery and Hall are in supplemental notes below service information.)
The family would like to thank the management and staff of Caleb Village for the high level of care they provided, also the citizens of Major, Kerrobert and surrounding areas for the support of Emily in all the years following Elmer’s passing.

Directions to Cemetery: -Turn South off Highway #51 onto SK-767 towards Major. -Turn Left/East on Railway Avenue into Major, there will be a school on the left. -Go down Railway Ave through town, 1 mile/3 minutes until the intersection. -Turn left, you will see Major & District Cemetery is up on the left. Following the Graveside Service please join the family for lunch and fellowship in the Major Centennial Hall, 7 Centre Street, Major, SK. Drive same road back towards Major; south out of cemetery, Turn Right onto Railway, take the second Right turn onto Centre Street, Hall is on the left.
