MACKLIN, Sask. — A 33-year-old Macklin man is facing multiple charges after police allegedly found drugs and prohibited items during a traffic stop last week.

Between May 20 and 26, Macklin RCMP charged the man with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He also faces charges of possessing a weapon contrary to a court order and possessing a prohibited device.

During a separate traffic stop, officers issued a 72-hour roadside suspension. RCMP also conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member and spoke to an individual regarding outstanding warrants.

Mounties responded to one traffic complaint and one false alarm during the reporting period.

RCMP are reminding residents that some non-emergency incidents — including fraud under $5,000, vandalism, and certain traffic concerns — can be reported online at ocre-sielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/saskatchewan.

Anyone with information about crimes in the Unity, Wilkie, or Macklin areas is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at saskcrimestoppers.com, and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
