The Kindersley Indoor Rodeo is back on this weekend, actually firing up Thursday night with a full slate of action inside the West Central Events Centre.
Country 104 morning show host Nick Cooper has been talking about the rodeo all week long. He chatted about everything from rodeo clowns to the animal athletes, and when I joined the show today, the topic shifted to the cowboys and cowgirls themselves.
Earlier this week I was inspired by the name of a young hockey player, "Easton Bauer", who is committed to play AAA hockey in Warman. That double-branded name screams hockey player, and it got me thinking, what are some rodeo equivalents.
