Rosetown RCMP responded to a range of calls last week, from a stolen electric lawn mower to a break and enter.
On May 22 at 11:23 a.m., RCMP received a report of property damage in the RM of Monet. The investigation remains ongoing.
The following day, at 1:21 p.m., a complaint was made regarding a stolen electric lawn mower in Rosetown. Due to insufficient evidence, police were unable to proceed with an investigation.
Later that evening, at 8:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of assault. Charges have since been laid. Just a few hours later, at 11:30 p.m., police received a report of a trespasser at a business in Rosetown. That investigation is still active.
On May 24, officers investigated a complaint of unsafe firearm storage at 3:01 p.m. The individual involved was located and issued a warning. At 5:37 p.m., police responded to multiple reports of a hitchhiker along Highway 4. Officers located the individual without incident. At 8:33 p.m., a suspected break and enter was reported at a residence in Rosetown, though the property was found secure upon police arrival.
At 11:52 p.m. on May 25, a vehicle was intercepted on Highway 7. The driver was subjected to a mandatory roadside alcohol screening, resulting in a 60-day provincial suspension.
A fraud investigation was opened at 7:41 p.m. on May 26, after a complainant reported suspicious activity while attempting to buy an item on Facebook Marketplace. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
On May 28, at 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to a reported break and enter at an unoccupied residence in Kyle. One individual has been held for court.
Over the one-week period, RCMP also issued 92 traffic-related charges, responded to three 911 misdials, and investigated six false alarms.
